Valleau, VanDeven & Massie
A Great Dentist

Dr. Christopher E. VanDeven, DDS

I was born and raised in Michigan. My mother was a dental hygienist. She encouraged me to become a dentist, and for once I actually listened!

I received my undergraduate degree at Hope College, where I would eventually meet my wife. I attended dental school at the University of Michigan. After dental school I completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland. After finishing my residency I spent one year completing a fellowship in public health dentistry at the Howard Co. (MD) health department, treating children without health or dental insurance. We knew that we wanted to come back to West Michigan to start a family, and I was very fortunate to meet and begin working for Dr. Aimee.

My wife and I have four beautiful children: 3 girls and a boy. Mostly, I enjoy spending time at home with my family, but I also enjoy playing basketball, golf, running, biking, and reading. On most Saturdays in the fall, you can find me singing Hail to the Victors and cheering for my favorite team, the Michigan Wolverines.

I am very fortunate to have found such a wonderful profession, and I am very dedicated and motivated to provide the highest possible dental care that I can for your child.

To all of our patients and families:

It is with much anticipation and excitement that our re-opening date for routine dental care will be Monday, June 1st! On behalf of everyone at Valleau, VanDeven, and Massie Dentistry for Children, we thank you for being a part of our family and for your continued support and patience.

We will be in touch shortly to reschedule appointments canceled from March-May. If your child has an appointment on June 1st or after, you will be receiving a call to confirm that appointment. For all patients coming in this summer, you will be receiving a letter (also posted here on our FB page) that explains the many changes made at our office to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Words cannot express how much we have missed all of you. Thank you for being on this journey with us and trusting us to care for your children.

See you soon, friends!
